Bootstrapped

Request deletion of your data

for the app “Bootstrapped” (Android) · Last updated: 28 October 2026

In short

  • The app has no account. Your game save is on your device, and most data you can delete there yourself, including your leaderboard data (section 1).
  • Anything held by us or by service providers, you request by email (section 2). We reply within one month at the latest.

1. Delete it yourself

WhatHowNote
Game save, settings, purchase status on the deviceAndroid: Settings › Apps › Bootstrapped › Storage › Clear dataPurchased packs stay with Google Play. With internet access, the app reconciles them again at the next start.
Game save inside the appSettings › “Reset game”Archives the old save on the device instead of deleting it. To delete it, use the row above.
Name, entries and reports on the leaderboardLeaderboard › “Delete my data”Immediately removes your name, all your entries and all reports by you and against you from the server. Do this before clearing app data or uninstalling, otherwise the app no longer knows your player ID; then use email (section 2).
Save backup at Google Play GamesSettings › “Turn off backup”; delete the copy in the Google Play Games settingsThe copy is in your Google account; we cannot see it.
Game statisticsSettings › turn off “Send game statistics”The app then sends nothing more. Data already sent can only be linked via the installation ID; if you clear the app data, the app creates a new one.
Advertising IDAndroid: Settings › Privacy › AdsYou can reset or delete the advertising ID there. The path may differ by Android version.

2. Request by email

These details help us:

Without an installation ID, we cannot link game statistics to a device, and the app does not show you that ID. Section 1 is the way to go there.

Order records that we must keep for legal reasons are not deleted early (see section 14 of the privacy policy). If needed, we ask follow-up questions to check that the purchase is yours.
